Prosthodontic Treatment
In our Prosthodontic Treatment department; In order to regain the damaged, missing or lost function, aesthetics, comfort and health, the missing parts of the teeth or one or more missing teeth and related missing tissues are filled with appropriate materials. Dental prostheses are basically divided into two: fixed prostheses and removable prostheses.
crown:
It is a restoration that restores the morphology and contours of lost or inappropriate tooth tissue and damaged coronal sections of the tooth and provides chewing function.
Fixed partial denture (bridge):
If a tooth is lost due to various reasons, the structural integrity of its arch may be disrupted. The teeth next to and/or opposite the toothless space move towards the missing tooth space. In order to eliminate any negativities that may occur, the missing tooth or teeth must be replaced with prostheses as soon as possible. One of the types of prosthesis used for this purpose is fixed partial prosthesis (bridge).
Removable partial dentures:
It is a type of prosthesis generally applied to patients who have a large number of missing teeth and do not have existing teeth in the back area. At the same time, excessive tissue loss in the edentulous area may require removable dentures to be used to restore both function and aesthetics. This type of prosthesis is one that can be easily put on and removed by patients. It takes some time for patients to get used to removable partial dentures. This period may be longer in patients using removable prostheses for the first time.
Complete Dentures:
It is a type of prosthesis that is applied to patients in cases of complete edentulism due to the loss of all teeth, and whose retention is achieved by settling on the intra-oral tissue surface.
Implant Prostheses:
Implant-supported prostheses are fixed or removable prostheses placed on and supported by implants. It is a treatment option that can be applied to all edentulous patients with a single missing tooth.
It is applied as a fixed prosthesis in cases where a single or few teeth are missing. It allows the construction of a fixed prosthesis or a removable prosthesis (movable prosthesis) for all edentulous patients.
Porselen Lamina:
It means leaf in Latin. It is a method of cutting the teeth by abrading only the front surfaces of 0.3-0.7 mm and treating the healthy tooth tissue to a minimum. Porcelain dental laminates are bonded to this thinned area.
Sleep apnea (Snoring) Plaque:
Snore; It is popularly defined as the loud sound made by an individual during sleep. In the medical literature, it is characterized by the soft palate and uvula growing larger than normal, especially in adults with weight problems. As a result of these tissues losing their tension and narrowing the respiratory tract, the air entering the lungs causes these tissues to vibrate and a snoring sound is produced.
The snoring prosthesis, which is used at night while sleeping and sits on the teeth, positions the lower jaw forward and downward, restoring the sagging tissues to their former tension, opening the respiratory tract and preventing snoring and sleep apnea. The earlier the disease is detected, the shorter the treatment period.
